Lord Have Mercy

Thanks to my fellow SNB DT member, D'Anne, I found the Lord Have Mercy Sketch Challenge. D'Anne has a whole list of challenge blogs on her blog and I've been having fun discovering new to me challenges. I made this card with another Mildred image from Bugaboo Stamps:

Welcome to the StretchNBubbles Christmas Block Blog Hop. If you came here from the main StretchNBubbles blog, you're in the right place. If you stumbled upon this hop by accident, go to the SNB blog and start there. Be sure to leave comments on all the DT's posts along the way to be eligible for some great prizes!
Alison is in the Christmas spirit and has created a new line of Christmas block images:
Aren't they AWESOME?? You can buy them individually, or get the whole set if you just can't decide. They're perfect for little cards or tags and since they are digital, you can even resize them to make a full sized card. The possibilities are endless.
Along this hop, you'll get a chance to visit each DT member's blog so you can see how we each used them. It will also give you a chance to check out our new DT girls: Tracy, D'Anne, Pandy, Lynn and Gunvor. You'll still see your old favorites like Marcy, Dawnn and Pauline. Be sure to leave each of them a comment when you pay them a visit.
For this hop, I used the Christmas Tree block.
Photobucket
I had a lot of fun with my distress inks and my Tim Holtz distressing tool to give this card a weathered look.
To review: everyone who leaves a comment here on this post by 11:59 PM on August 31st is in the running to win this Christmas Tree block image. I'll choose a winner from all the comments on Wednesday, September 1st and that person will win the image I used in my card. Leave comments on all the DT's posts along the hop and you can win the images they used too. Once you've made your way through the hop, you'll be in the running for the overall blog hop winner. The overall winner wins the entire block set!

Your next stop is Lynn. Wait till you see what she has made!
I hope you enjoy all this Christmas cuteness. Be sure to stop by the SNB Shop to see more of what Alison has to offer.

I Almost Forgot

WOW! I almost forgot to post this card for the Sketch and Stash challenge. I made this card using Christmas Boy 1 from the Bugaboo Christmas Kids collection.

Dog Days of Summer

It's Challenge Day at Catch the Bug and this week, the theme is "Dog Days of Summer". Use an animal, doesn't have to be a dog, on your card. And the extra challenge is to use neutral colors and ONE other color. Hmm.....

Okay, it really didn't take me that long to decide what image to use because you all know I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Sean and his Dog image from Bugaboo so it was an obvious choice for me.

Photobucket

This challenge is sponsored by Stampin Dragon Designs:

They are offering FOUR images to the winner. In case you haven't played along with the Catch the Bug Challenge before, you don't have to use a Bugaboo image but if you do, you get two entries in the drawing for every ONE card that you make. Good deal, huh?
I hope you'll play along!

Aww...Kitty

Isn't this kitty adorable? Look at that sweet little face and the squishy body! I love it. Of course it's a Bugaboo (it's still August, right??) It's from the Garden Cats line.

This card is based on the Two Sketches for You sketch this week.

Who Doesn't Love Dinos

There was a time when my youngest son Brendan loved dinos. We owned anything and everything having to do with Dinos..clothes, toys, books, movies. I personally watched the Disney movie "Dinosaur" no less than 75 times. :) He's twelve now and has moved past the dinos but I still find myself stopping and paying attention to dinos and thinking "oh, should I get that?" and then I remember that Brendan is no longer the five year old with the dino obsession. Even so, I'm pretty sure dinos will always make me think of him. So I thought of him when I was browsing the Bugaboo site the other day and came across this Dino:

Look Who is Free Today

I don't know what in the world Stella has gotten herself into today! Hop on over and get Stella for yourself and if you like this one, there are more just like her in the store.
Photobucket
This card is for the Crafty Cardmakers challenge which is to be inspired by the Lady Gaga video "Bad Romance". SO much to choose from but I went with crazy headgear, big hair and people generally in an odd situation as Stella finds herself in here. :)

Another Oldie But Goodie Day

Yep, it's Thursday so you know what that means...another Oldie But Goodie Day at Bugaboo. That's the day that the Bugaboo DT (and me, this month!) gets to show you some of our favorite Bugaboo images that you may have forgotten about. This week I used this adorable Turtle.

Yummy Cupcake Tower

In real life, I'm not much of a fan of cupcakes so it's kind of funny that I love them so much for crafting. For most people, I think this tower of cupcakes would be pretty yummy. I just think it's fun to color. This is from the Bugaboo line A Kids View Birthday and it's called "Cupcake Tower".
Photobucket
Challenges:

Marshmallows Are Another Story

So, I already told you I don't like cupcakes, except to color. Well marshmallows are a different story. I'm not like my youngest son, Brendan, who would eat a handful of marshmallows plain if I let him but I do like toasted marshmallows (burnt!) and I like melty marshmallows in my hot chocolate. But my favorite marshmallows are these adorable Marshmallow Snowmen from Bugaboo! This one is called Snowflakes.
Photobucket
I made this card for the Bah Humbug challenge which is "walking in a winter wonderland" this week.

Too Much Cuteness Today!

Okay, really? Is there such a thing as TOO much cuteness? I don't think so but you never know. I felt I should warn you, just in case. :)
This first one is another adorable Teddy from Bugaboo. This one is the Teddy Rose Hat and I used it for the Just Cute Bears challenge this week which was to use pink and brown, and of course, a bear! And it's Digi Day at Stamp Something so the challenge is to use a digi image or papers.
Photobucket
I'm pretty happy with those flowers. I just got them on Saturday from Hobby Lobby using my 40% off coupon and you know the best thing? It's a whole tub of WHITE Primas. Yep, all white which is perfect so I can color them to match my projects with my Copic Markers. Love that!

It's Freebie Friday Again

Hooray for Friday! With the kids back in school this week, I'm sure I'm not the only one looking forward to Friday. You all know why I look forward to Fridays, right? Because it's FREEBIE day at Bugaboo Stamps. This week, this adorable frog is the freebie. A Fancy Sunbonnet

There is a whole line of digi images at Bugaboo dedicated to these Fancy Sunbonnet girls. They're adorable and Jodie has them doing all kinds of things so there is something for everyone. I used this one which is called Fancy Sunbonnets-Flowers:

I thought this image went perfectly with the feel of the paper so I had to color her outfit and bonnet pink!

It's Oldie but Goodie Day Again!

At Bugaboo Stamps, every Thursday is Oldie But Goodie Day. The day that the Bugaboo DT (and Me this month!) gets to show you some favorite "old" Bugaboo images. Sean, from the Bugaboo Brats line, is one of my all time favorite Bugaboo characters so I chose him for my OBG card today:

This card works for a couple of challenges:

Can These Kids Get Any Cuter?

I'm just wondering. I mean, Jodie, the artist behind all these awesome Bugaboo images, draws THE most adorable kids EVAH! Don't Worry..BEE Happy!

Love the challenges this week at Incy Wincy and Daisy Doodles this week. Both challenges are to use yellow in your creations. Normally, I'm not a big yellow user but I happen to have this adorable bee and bee hive set from Bugaboo and what better color to use on a card featuring a bee than yellow?
Photobucket

And Still More from Gus..

Gus is just hilarious. I don't know anyone quite like him in real life but he definitely gives me a chuckle in the world of Bugaboo. This is Gus' New Truck:

GASP! It's not a Bugaboo Image

I know, you all thought that I forgot about every other stamp company this month while I'm the guest DT at Bugaboo Stamps. I know I have been having a lot of fun with my Bugaboo images and I hope you've enjoyed seeing them. BUT there are other stamp companies out there and Designed to Delight is another one of my favorites. This week, Faith's image is this lovely pumpkin set:

Ahh...What a Birthday

I made this card with the Scarlette Bath image from Bugaboo and it just felt right to me to make it a Birthday card. My daughter saw it the other day and questioned why this would be a birthday card and I said because I thought this looked like a nice way to spend your birthday....at least part of it...relaxing in a soap sudsy bathtub!
Photobucket
Challenges:
Secret crafter-girly card
Speedy the Cat-flowers

And After Your Bath

You head out to the "cafe" like Scarlette does in this image from Bugaboo Stamps called "Scarlette Cafe".
Photobucket
I used the recipie from Paper Sundaes which was to use 2 papers, 3 buttons and 4 flowers. This is a card that I started two other times and scrapped both times before I came up with this color combo and design and I'm really happy with how this one turned out, considering that I thought I was going to have to give up on making anything!

Just a Cute Bear

Just Cute Bears is such a great challenge. It's not really even fair to call it a challenge because for every challenge you have to use a bear on your card. Really? That's not a challenge...that's EASY! :) Bugaboo stamps released this whole line of bears last week so if for some reason you don't have any bear stamps or images in your inventory, head over to Bugaboo and pick some up so you can play along at Just Cute Bears! This week the challenge is to use a bear (of course!) and buttons and blooms.
Photobucket

I Can Relate

Really, I can relate to Stella in this image. Can you?
Photobucket
I know you all know by now that you can get Stella over at Bugaboo stamps!
I made this card with the theme from Simple Doodles which is "Celebrate"

More Marshmallow Snowmen

If you've ever been to my blog before, you know I LOOVE snowmen. In fact, I was making so many Christmas cards with snowmen that I voluntarily restricted myself from making any snowman cards for a whole week. That was NOT easy. But luckily, I'm not doing that any more because here's my second snowman card of the week, again made with one of the Marshmallow Snowmen from Bugaboo stamps.

New Release Day at Bugaboo

YAY! It's new release day at Bugaboo stamps. In case you haven't noticed, I've been bombarding you with Bugaboo posts all month. That's because I'm really enjoying my role as the August guest DT at Bugaboo. I can't believe the month is more than half over...bummer! But, it is new release day and today Jodie is releasing this Summer Dog image, along with several others in the set.
Photobucket

This card works for these challenges:

Who Doesn't Feel This Way?

I mean, really...I think we've all felt like this at one point or another in our lives! Not only do I love the images at Bugaboo but the sentiments they have to go along with some of their images are just perfect!
Photobucket
I used the sketch from this week's Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge.

ABC's of Cuteness

This week, the challenge at Raise the Bar is an ABC challenge...NO, not "anything but a card" tricked you, right? This time, ABC stands for Animal, Brown and Clean and simple. I think this little bear from Bugaboo fits the challenge perfectly:
Photobucket

Simply a Snowman

Made out of marshmallows that is! I know, I know...it doesn't really make sense to have a snowman made out of marshmallows but this guy is so darn cute...it doesn't have to make sense. There's a whole line of Marshmallow Snowmen to choose from at Bugaboo so go check them out. For this card, I used the theme at Simply Saturday which was to make a simple, white card.
Photobucket

Relaxing in the Hammock

Is there a better way to spend a summer day than being lazy in an hammock? I've never owned a hammock and it's been waaay too hot here to spend much time outside, but there is something idyllic about lazing around in a hammock. This bear from Bugaboo sure makes it look good!
Photobucket
Challenges:
Little Red Wagon-summer theme
Teddy Stampers-teddy bear picnic

You Gotta Love Gus

Do you know Gus? He's the guy who goes along with the sassy character Stella from Bugaboo stamps. He's full of funny tidbits and quotes. You should go check him out for a chuckle.
Photobucket
I used the sketch from Moving Along with the Times.
